They promised each other one summer without plans.

Every morning, they followed the same stone path toward the sea—walking slowly between lemon trees, colourful flowers and sun-warmed terraces. He always carried the room key; she always stopped to admire the sailboats.

That afternoon, they walked closer than usual, knowing the holiday would soon end. They did not take a photograph. They simply kept walking, hoping the moment would remain exactly as it was.
